POSITION: Front Desk AssociateDEPARTMENT: Fitness, Health and WellnessJOB SUMMARY:The goal of the Front Desk staff member is to support the fitness staff and the goals of the fitness operation by providing hospitable service to the members of the Club and maintaining all front desk duties.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGreet and check in each member that enters the fitness facilityBuild rapport with members, and get to know each of themAnswer all phone calls and member inquiries with clear information for each memberUtilize NorthStar POS system to manage member accounts for various items such as including food, class fees, and training feesAssist trainers in managing their schedules and tracking member sessionsOpen and shut down fitness facility when needed by turning on and off lights, TVs, music, etc.Assist with keeping the fitness center stocked with various including food, drinks, towels, etc.Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby areaAttend all required meetings and training for Fitness staffServe as Floor Attendant and assist with special events when neededOther duties as assigned by the Fitness Coordinator, Wellness and Outreach Coordinator of the Director of Fitness, Health and WellnessREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESStrong organizational and communication skills and outstanding customer service skillsExcel at building relationships with a variety of individualsHave a positive attitude that contributes to a positive team cultureREPORTS TO: Fitness CoordinatorSUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibilities
