Job Definition: The HR Generalist serves as a key partner to the Human Resources Manager and employees, supporting the day-to-day execution of Human Resources functions. This role provides administrative and operational support across a broad range of HR activities, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, Worker's Compensation, FMLA, compliance, and HR systems.The HR Generalist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate HR processes, a positive employee experience, and compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.Primary Responsibilities: Recruitment & Onboarding Support full-cycle recruitment process: Maintain and update job descriptionsCoordinate job postings (internal/external)Partner with hiring managers and external recruitersSchedule and coordinate interviewsPrepare and issue offer lettersManage pre-employment screeningsCoordinate onboarding and new hire orientation processes to ensure a smooth employee experienceEmployee Records & Compliance Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS (BambooHR and Paychex)Administer E-Verify and manage I-9 compliance, including periodic internal auditsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsMaintain required labor law postings across all locationsBenefits Administration Assist with benefits administration, including: New hire enrollments and life event changesOpen Enrollment coordination and communicationPayroll deduction setup and verificationBenefits invoice auditing and reconciliationProvide employees and candidates with benefit information and supportLeave of Absence & Workers' Compensation Administration Administer and track employee leaves of absence, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), ensuring compliance with federal and state regulationsProvide guidance to employees and managers on leave eligibility, documentation requirements, and return-to-work processesCoordinate required notices, certifications, and communications related to FMLA and other applicable leave typesMaintain accurate and confidential leave records within HRISAdminister Workers' Compensation claims, including: Reporting workplace injuries to the carrier in a timely mannerCoordinating with employees, managers, and medical providersMonitoring claim status and facilitating return-to-work plansPartner with managers to support transitional duty assignments and ensure compliance with company policies and medical restrictionsMaintain accurate records and assist with audits, reporting, and claims managementHR Operations & Programs Assist in maintaining and updating the employee handbook and HR policiesSupport performance review processes and trackingAssist with HRIS system updates, reporting, and process improvementsSupport the implementation and optimization of HR systems and toolsEmployee Engagement & Communication Assist with planning and execution of company events, employee recognition programs, and training initiativesSupport internal HR communications and employee engagement effortsGeneral Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managersOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, Abilities Required: Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferredExperience 2–4 years of HR Generalist or related experienceExperience supporting multiple HR functionsExperience with HRIS systems (BambooHR and Paychex preferred)Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skillsHigh level of integrity and confidentialitySound judgment and problem-solving abilityStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesDetail-oriented with strong data accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to analyze data and generate reports#J-18808-Ljbffr
