Deliver high-level administrative, organizational, and client support in a fast-paced legal environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Provide proactive administrative support to attorneys and legal teams. Edit and proofread legal and administrative documents for accuracy and consistency. Manage CLE credit tracking, calendaring, expense reimbursements, and scheduling. Greet clients, coordinate meetings, and manage professional correspondence. File documents electronically with courts and maintain organized case files. Support billing processes including time entry and report preparation. Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on pending matters. Communicate with court personnel, attorneys, and staff as required.
Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience in a law firm or legal setting. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience proofreading and editing complex legal documents with high attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professional written and verbal communication skills with client-facing experience. Experience with electronic court filing systems. Authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorship required now or in the future.
Preferred: Familiarity with legal software such as Kofax/Nuance, InTapp, LMS+, or iManage. Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously. Experience tracking CLE credits, managing expense reimbursements, or assisting with billing. Knowledge of litigation procedures, probate processes, or other legal specialties.
