    Description

    The Manager, Product Sales is responsible for leading a team of Fall Protection Product Sales Managers (PSM's) while driving alignment between Product Management, Sales, and Customers. This role combines strategic product leadership with people management, ensuring that PSM's are equipped, engaged, and executing effectively in the field. The position is accountable for building sales of assigned product lines, supporting national and regional strategies, and providing actionable feedback to guide product development and positioning.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of PSM's to achieve sales objectives within assigned product categories.
    • Establish clear goals and performance metrics for PSM's, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
    • Oversee training delivery, customer support, and field execution provided by the Product Specialist team.
    • Foster collaboration between Product Specialists, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to ensure alignment and resource optimization.
    • Achieve sales objectives for assigned products by building and executing strategic sales plans across regions.
    • Champion new product introductions and ensure consistent execution across the PSM team.
    • Partner with Product Management to identify market opportunities, competitive threats, and customer needs to inform product development.
    • Collaborate with Marketing on the creation of sales tools, training resources, and product launch materials.
    • Manage pricing, forecasting, and budgeting activities for assigned product categories.
    • Serve as a product leader in meetings with key distributors, end users, and internal stakeholders.
    • Conduct joint sales calls with PSM's and Regional Sales Teams to support growth opportunities.
    • Represent PIP at trade shows, industry events, and key distributor programs as a category expert.
    • Monitor market trends, gather competitive intelligence, and provide regular reporting to leadership.

    CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
    • 7+ years' experience in sales and/or product management, ideally within industrial distribution or PPE/safety products.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience managing people, with demonstrated success in coaching and developing talent.
    • Proven track record of driving product adoption and sales growth.
    • Strong ability to collaborate across functions and influence at all organizational levels.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to travel up to 60-70% to support field sales, team leadership, and customer engagement.
