Materials Specialist

Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops, and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base.

We seek a diligent, dedicated, and meticulous person who will help further our success and reputation in the industry. The successful candidate will have at least two years of manufacturing experience.

Specifically:

• Process rejected materials returned from the Production and Engineering Debug teams

• Isolate scrapped materials for proper disposition

• Ensure all recovered materials are labeled properly with an Avo Part Number and Material Lot Number and record in SAP

• Participate in physical inventory at the end of each half-year

Requirements:

• High school diploma or A.S.

• 2 years of inventory experience in a manufacturing environment

• Excellent communication skills including ability to discuss issues in a clear, professional manner

• Experience operating within an ISO9001-certified company

• Experienced with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

• Highly organized and efficient at prioritizing workload

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
