Personal Care Assistant

If so, you have the key characteristics to join the CareMaxx team!As a Caregiver (PCA, HHA or CNA), you would assist clients with ADLs and IADLs that include but are not limited to, personal hygiene, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, transportation. In addition, you would engage clients in recreational activities in-home and in the community. Caregiver/ Personal Care Assistant- Job Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and develop friendly relationships with seniors and their families
• Help seniors with activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, mobility (wheelchair, walker), transfers (hoyer lift), light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Provide occasional transportation and accompany seniors to the grocery store, doctor’s appointments and pharmacy visits
• Observe and report any changes in the mental, physical, emotional condition of the client or a home situation, to the immediate supervisor
• Maintain a trusting and comforting environment in the home
• Familiarity with oxygen equipment
• Assist with medication reminders

Requirements:

• Previous homecare experience (at least 1 year, required)
• Dementia Care experience a plus
• PCA certification or CNA license is a plus
• Enjoy working with seniors or clients with physical disabilities
• Applicants must be 18 years and older 
• Caring and Compassionate
• High school Diploma or GED (required)
• Driver's License and Auto Insurance, Reliable Transportation
• Criminal Background check
• Have a CPR Certification (required)
• Current TB Test (required)
