Program Director - DV Services Unit

A nonprofit services organization in New York City is seeking a Program Director to join their team in the Bronx.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm
• Setting: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 administrative work-from-home day; onsite Fridays)

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for the program's non-residential case management and advocacy services
• Supervise program staff, including case managers, an intensive case manager, and a housing/economic empowerment specialist
• Support clinical triage for high-risk cases and carry a small caseload when needed
• Review case notes, monitor service quality, and ensure accurate and timely reporting and documentation
• Build and maintain strong relationships with onsite partners, community stakeholders, and internal teams to support coordinated service delivery

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of supervisory and/or program management experience
• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
• Experience working with domestic violence, gender-based violence, crime victim services, shelter systems, housing and homelessness services, or other trauma-informed social service programs
• Experience overseeing program operations, staff development, documentation, reporting, and quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice, crisis intervention, safety planning, and case management services
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong organizational, communication, writing, critical thinking, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-trauma environment with discretion, flexibility, and professionalism

Desired Skills:

• LMSW or LCSW
• Experience with Family Justice Centers
• Reflective supervision experience
• Experience cultivating community partnerships and collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders
• Background in city-funded, grant-funded, or contract-funded programs
• Experience leading teams serving survivors of domestic violence or gender-based violence
