SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS - ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Required:

  1. Experience working with children.

  2. Enjoys working with children.

  3. Maintain the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which you are assigned.

  4. Follow the lesson plans provided by the absent teacher.

  5. Provide a brief report, in writing of the day''s activities, at the conclusion of each day for the teacher.

  6. Provide feedback regarding student behavior.

  7. Able to communicate to administration and others to gain assistance or guidance when needed.

  8. Flexibility.

  9. Must be able to establish a good rapport with students.

  10. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

  11. Must be organized, take direction.

  12. Punctuality is critical and mandatory for this position.

  13. Must be reliable.

  14. Clear communicator. Good written and verbal communication skills.

  15. Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Preferred:

  1. Educational experience or degree.

  2. Knowledge of subject matter.

Substitute Teacher Salary:

Daily Per diem

Certified $120/day

Non-Certified $ 15/hour

Long-Term Per diem (same assignment)

Certified $230/day
