Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred, NIHSS
Must-Have:
- Orthopedic work experience
- IV start and telemetry skills
- EKG testing pass prior to start
Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to cancellation and DNR.
Travelers with Epic experience will be considered.
Local candidates are accepted.
Staffing ratios are expected to be 5-6:1; can flex up to 7:1 only in extreme cases.
The unit will accept a length of 13 weeks or longer.
36 or 48 hours can be offered.
Block scheduling options are available.
Required to float to other medical-surgical units within the facility based on staffing needs.
Every other weekend is required.
If an RN calls out on a weekend, they will be required to make that time up on a weekend.
The average daily census is 37, with 39 rooms and beds available.
Patients may include those with orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical diagnoses.
Covid patients are no longer cohorted; they are cared for in their respective units.
This is a fast-paced unit that requires nurses to manage pain effectively for orthopedic and spine patients.
Nurses are expected to be customer service-oriented due to the high post-surgical and orthopedic population.
Multiple pain medications will be administered as required.
Candidates must be willing to float within or near the facility.
Nurses are encouraged to have charge nurse experience and level I trauma experience.
The patient care team consists of a variety of interdisciplinary support services.
Candidates must be open to floating within the facility to meet staffing requirements.
