The Rental Shop Technician is responsible for applying troubleshooting techniques to determine repair procedures, diagnosing basic repairs, and performing light mechanical repairs; inspecting returned equipment and attachments for repairs or maintenance; cleaning returned equipment; and assembling/repairing work tools in a shop environment. - Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

The Rental Sales Representative is responsible for promoting Caterpillar equipment and Allied product rental, affecting the rental of all products assigned to the Division's rent-to-rent fleet to all customers and markets in accordance with the policies of Carter Machinery Company, Inc. We are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for Rental Sales Representative new hires, $2,500 is payable after 90 days of employment, and the remaining $2,500 is payable after 180 days of employment.
For individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude who are graduating high school, veterans exiting the military, or technicians wanting to change from other mechanical fields (i.e., automotive, HVAC, etc.) you may be a great candidate for our in-house fully accredited 15-month Apprenticeship Program. The program will train and develop you to troubleshoot and diagnose diesel equipment problems, perform repairs, recondition and service heavy equipment and components, all while being paid, receiving full-time benefits, and not incurring any education expenses.
