Due to company store growth, we are seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Accountant at our Plaza Tire Corporate Office in Cape Girardeau, MO. This position will work with existing accounting department staff members and management. </p><p>Summary: This position requires strong attention to detail, a very good understanding of accounting, debits and credits, and a friendly and professional personality. The hours are typical business hours and occasional Saturday mornings. </p><p>Responsibilities may include but not limited to: </p><ul><li>Applying basic accounting fundamentals to perform typical Accounts Receivable and Cash Reconciliation procedures, including bank reconciliations done manually. </li><li>Reconciliation of large volume of store sales and cash payment transactions including data entry of payments. </li><li>Learn POS payment system with ability to help stores solve customer payment issues. </li><li>Wholesale department route check-in process and software invoicing/balancing tasks shared with other members of the AR department. </li><li>Ability to make one off Journal Entries, knowing what GL accounts to debit and credit. </li><li>Filing Sales and Tire tax in 6 states along with maintaining Sales Tax Exemptions forms. </li><li>Excel Spreadsheet work using basic skills. </li><li>Scanning of paper documents for long term storage. </li><li>Various other office tasks as needed. </li></ul><p>Qualifications: </p><ul><li>Must understand accounting debits and credits related to all general accounting functions. </li><li>Accounting degree is preferred but not required. </li><li>2-5 years of accounting experience is required. </li><li>Working with large volumes of data and paper documents. </li><li>Accuracy and number balancing skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on basic Excel skills. </li><li>Organizational and time management skills. </li><li>Excellent written and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work and communicate with all other positions within the company. </li><li>Willingness to grow knowledge and skills. </li></ul><p>Benefits </p><p>At Sun Auto we recognize that benefits play a vital role in helping ensure the health and financial security of employees and their families.
