Job Title: Accounting Manager Reports To: Director of Finance Position Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the department and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the monthly close process. This role manages core transactional accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, billings, and journal entries, while supervising a team of six direct reports. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting process discipline, and driving accountability across the accounting function. Requirements Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting • Oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 6 direct reports: o 3 Accounts Receivable team members o 2 Accounts Payable team members o 1 Staff Accountant • Review and approve account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy • Perform and review journal entries, billings, and other transactional accounting activities • Monitor workload distribution and ensure deadlines are consistently met across the team • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules • Identify process improvement opportunities within close, AR, AP, and other accounting workflows • Ensure accounting processes are performed in accordance with company policy and internal controls • Partner with the Director of Finance on department priorities, reporting needs, and process improvements • Assist with audit support and provide requested documentation in a timely manner • Support cross-functional coordination related to sales, billing, collections, vendor payments, and account analysis Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Minimum 2-3 years of management experience • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, & NetSuite • Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and transactional accounting processes • Experience overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions • Proven ability to manage staff, prioritize work, and drive accountability • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Proficient in journal entries, billings, and general ledger activity • Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Core Competencies • Leadership and staff development • Accountability • Accuracy and attention to detail • Process management • Problem solving • Communication and collaboration • Time management and prioritization accommodation to complete an application, participate in the interview process, undergo any pre-employment testing, or otherwise take part in the employee selection process, please contact us at recruiting@arrowinternational.com Note: This job description outlines the essential job functions, general skills, requirements, and competencies for this position. <h3>Description</h3> <div>The Controller is a senior leadership position responsible for the management of the corporation’s financial health through the supervision of accounting, tax, insurance, and treasury sections. This role requires a sophisticated understanding of both accounting and finance to ensure accurate record-keeping, risk mitigation, fund management and corporate compliance with federal, state and local agencies. The Controller leads various internal teams and works across departments to uphold the fiscal integrity of OVEC/IKEC.</div> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <div>Leadership & Team Supervision:Directly supervise the Treasury and Accounting staff.  </div><div>Lead the department by setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing professional mentorship. Ensure a culture of accountability and that adequate cross-training exists for all key roles.</div><div> </div><div>Administer prescribed Company personnel policies and practices; make recommendations pertaining to hiring, classification, change of classification, rate change, and discipline of department employees; carry out appropriate measures of corrective discipline with employees under supervision. </div><div> General Accounting Oversight:  </div><div>Direct the General Accounting and Accounts Payable sections. Ensure the recording of assets, liabilities, and income/expense activity is performed at a proficient level in strict adherence to FERC accounting structures and utility-specific standards. </div><div>Provide the department or management with special reviews or statistical reports for internal company operations, federal and state regulatory agencies, outside institutions or associations and legal, audit, or service groups. Supervise the preparation for filing various federal and state periodic regulatory reports in compliance with requirements. </div><div> Tax Administration:  </div><div>Oversee corporate compliance with all federal, state, and local taxing requirements. Coordinate the preparation of tax returns and promote equitable tax administration through relationships with taxing authorities. </div><div>Insurance & Risk Management:  </div><div>Direct the securement and control of corporate insurance. Evaluate coverage adequacy, work with brokers/underwriters, and supervise the processing and settlement of casualty and liability claims. </div><div> Treasury & Finance Functions:  </div><div>Oversee daily cash management, the investment of company funds, and strict adherence to financing covenants to ensure a timely and accurate cash position. </div><div> Sponsor Billings:  </div><div>Oversee the billing and collection process for sponsor companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Inter-Company Power Agreement (ICPA) and other fuel or power contracts. </div><div> Keep informed of the latest practices and procedures with regard to accounting principles and procedures related to the job and consistently apply these to ensure efficiency and economy in the operation of the department. Review Reporting and Accounting Procedures related to the duties assigned and suggest updates when they are needed in order to stay current.
