In managing the finances for the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the Financial Administrator reviews, analyzes and evaluates the accuracy of general ledgers and payroll ledges in order to ensure funds are available to support costs associated with personnel and operational expenses, distributing funds from multiple College sources to CAS units to provide the financial support needed for each unit's operations. The university holds the highest Carnegie classification for research activity and has deep partnerships with industry leaders and the US Department of Energy's largest multidisciplinary laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
