Location: Clarksville, ARPosition Title: Project AccountantJob Summary:The Project Accountant is a key member of the division finance team. This role is instrumental in managing job cost projections, billings and coordinating with AP and Subcontract departments for monthly billings to Owner.Primary Duties:<ul><li>Work closely with Project Managers from beginning to end of project to ensure receivables and payables are handled properly and timely accounted for.</li><li>Understand terms in owner contracts and subcontractor contracts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of progress billings and payments.</li><li>Understand and maintain standard cost codes in accounting system</li><li>Communicate with various funding agencies (i.e. Banks, Government entities) regarding pay application process and requirements needed for payment.</li><li>Managing the preparation of monthly invoice packages for all billable projects, including all applicable backup.</li><li>Running monthly accounting meetings with the construction/project management team to review upcoming projections/billings</li><li>Investigating the project variances and submitting these variance reports to Division Controller</li><li>Overseeing and handling the creation and approval of all project-related billings to customers to foster good communication and avoid issues.</li><li>Reviewing project budgets, including fee structures, staffing, and schedules.</li><li>Ensuring a smooth cash flow by auditing, generating, and sending invoices promptly.</li><li>Weekly Detailed Job Cost Projections to Controller.</li><li>Review all job cost reports on a weekly basis and assist project teams with issues such as change orders, billings, setup, etc.</li><li>Produce and review billings and submit it to Division Controller and or Owners/Clients.</li><li>Reconcile non-lump sum job billings to job cost each month.</li><li>Billings deadlines per contract must be met, including draft versions for review by Project Manager or Division Controller.</li><li>Prepare and distribute monthly Job Cost Report Reports/Schedules</li><li>Demonstrate Yates Core Values and Principles</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or accounting from an accredited institution.</li><li>Two (2) to five (5) years professional experience in accounting and financial analysis</li><li>Two (2) plus years of experience in the construction industry preferred.</li><li>Project management experience is beneficial.</li><li>Previous leadership/management of people experience preferred.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Solid working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)</li><li>Data Center Experience Preferred</li><li>Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of employees in a multi-tasking environment.</li><li>Accounting background and solid understanding of financial accounting systems.</li><li>Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working ability in all Microsoft Office Professional Suite software</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of corporate financial policies, procedures, and systems.</li></ul>Competencies:<ul><li>Superior analytical and thinking skills.</li><li>Organizational skills required to deal with multiple “high priority” duties.</li><li>Intellectual rigor and curiosity.</li><li>Problem-solving capability.</li><li>Adaptability</li><li>Communication</li><li>Collaboration</li><li>Financial Acumen</li></ul>Physical Demands/Essential Job Functions:This job description reflects an assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Your JobWe are looking for a contribution motivated Senior Buyer to support our Georgia-Pacific Dixie site in Fort Smith, AR. The role includes purchasingactivities in a high volume, time-critical environment. The Senior Buyer will work with the mill's requestors to understand requirements including specifications, service needs and performance expectations. They will gain experience with Maintenance Repair and Operating (MRO) supplies, direct materials, chemicals, equipment spare parts and outside services from external vendors. The individual will learn about national, regional, and local contract agreements and ensure compliance with applicable corporate and local policies and guidelines. This role reports directly to the Regional Purchasing Manager, and will sit onsite at our facility in Fort Smith, AR.
