The primary purpose of the Medical Records Technician (Release of Information) position is foster a high level of customer service by assisting patients and their families, caregivers, outside auditors, community physicians, external agencies, and hospital personnel and ensuring they receive appropriate, timely and complete health information in response to written, phone, fax, email and/or in-person requests. As the principal teaching affiliate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and the only state-certified Level 1 Trauma Center in Northern New Jersey, University Hospital is training the next generation of physicians and advancing science to discovery while taking exceptional care of patients, regardless of their financial situation.
