The Director manages the inter-institutional seed grant program and other research groups and initiatives that impact the biomedical sciences training and research community in the Houston-Galveston area, They may assist with research grant preparation and may be engaged with program deliverables, such as project management, reporting, outreach, They facilitate opportunities to collaborate across the Texas Medical Center including meetings/conferences focused on various themes in biomedical research. Rice has a 6-to-1 undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio, and a residential college system, which supports students intellectually, emotionally and culturally through social events, intramural sports, student plays, lectures series, courses and student government.
