Access to behavioral health services is limited due to overwhelming demand and limited supply coupled with high societal stigma surrounding behavioral health conditions- successful first contact and accurate intake triage is critical for connecting patients with the behavioral health providers best suited to care for their needs. Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients'' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.
