Demonstrates knowledge and competency to perform IR procedures to include: abscess drain tube placement, aspiration of any fluid collection, breast biopsy, chest tube placement, fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodule, kidney biopsy, liver biopsy, lumbar puncture, ling/chest biopsy, lymph node biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis and other international radiology procedure. The Staff Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) who practices within the scope of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, high quality, individualized nursing care, based upon knowledge and experience, the nursing process and leadership skills.
