Human Resources Coordinator

Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining HR bulletin boards, generating reports, and assisting with special projects as assigned. Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, including deactivating employee badges, sending job abandonment/termination letters, collecting company property, and responding to state unemployment claims.

Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Recruiting:  </li><li><ul><li>Coordinate and manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.</li></ul></li><li>Onboarding and Offboarding:  </li><li><ul><li>Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation session assistance, completion of required paperwork, and introduction to company policies and procedures.</li><li>Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, including deactivating employee badges, sending job abandonment/termination letters, collecting company property, and responding to state unemployment claims.</li></ul></li><li>Payroll Reporting:  </li><li><ul><li>Prepare and submit weekly payroll reports for processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.</li><li>Address any payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner as appropriate.</li></ul></li><li>Union Employee Support:  </li><li><ul><li>Prepare and issue attendance letters for union employees in accordance with company policies and union contracts. Follow-up with plant supervision to ensure timely issuance.</li><li>Maintain open communication with plant supervision and ensure adherence to collective bargaining agreements.</li></ul></li><li>Employee Files Management:  </li><li><ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files in UKG Document Manager, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.</li><li>Organize and secure confidential employee information in compliance with data protection regulations.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Benefits Administration:  </li><li><ul><li>Assist in processing enrollments and changes for employee benefits, such as health insurance, wellness discounts, and other fringe benefits.</li><li>Assist employees with benefits inquiries and resolve issues related to benefits administration.</li></ul></li><li>Annual Duties and Compliance:</li><li><ul><li>Assist with annual compliance activities, including coordinating and conducting compliance trainings for employees.</li><li>Support open enrollment activities by providing information, assisting employees with selections, and processing benefit elections if needed.</li></ul></li><li>General Administrative Support:</li><li><ul><li>Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining HR bulletin boards, generating reports, and assisting with special projects as assigned.</li></ul></li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred</li><li>One to three years of Human Resources experience</li><li>Experience working in union environment is a plus</li><li>Working knowledge of UKG is a plus</li><li>Must be extremely flexible with job duties and be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment that is committed to providing excellent customer service to all employees</li><li>Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees and management</li><li>Strong communication skills (both oral and written)</li><li>Proficiency at an intermediate level in Windows Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point</li><li>Must have knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration, policies, procedures, and employment law</li></ul>
