Have a valid vocational training certificate, credential, or documentation demonstrating that the individual is a trade journey person who instructs children in vocational skills and have at least 100 hours of experience working with children or adults as a mentor, athletic coach, teacher, vocational coach, tutor, counselor, caregiver within a residential setting, or other relevant experience as determined by the department; or. Have completed 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, Foster and Kinship Care Education, or Psychology, and have completed at least 100 hours of on-the-job experience working with children; or The 100 hours of on-the-job experience may be completed after starting employment at the facility.
