Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field, a Wisconsin Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration required, at least eight years of progressively responsible professional experience in civil or municipal engineering, public works, project management or related field, including significant experience in supervision, administration, or leadership, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills: Knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering as applied to municipal infrastructure and public works projects and public rights of way. The position is responsible for coordinating major capital improvement initiatives, managing operating and capital budgets, establishing priorities, developing and updating policies and procedures, overseeing staff and consultants, and providing professional engineering and operational guidance to city leadership, elected officials, other departments, developers, contractors, and the public.
