The Department's various galleries, including the Brick City Gallery and Carolla Arts Exhibition Center, provide over 6000 square feet of exhibition space, and a Visiting Artists and Scholars series regularly brings recognized artists, designers, and scholars to the Department for lectures, workshops, and portfolio critiques. The Department of Art and Design's faculty are dedicated to specialized courses serving almost 500 undergraduate majors, with majors in Visual Art and Culture (Art History and Visual Culture, and Museum Studies), Design (Graphic Design, Illustration, and Sequential Art), Studio Art, Art Education, and Electronic Arts.
