The incumbent develops and distributes timely and accurate content while interacting and communicating effectively with student-athletes, athletics staff, local, regional, and national media representatives, San José State University alumni, fans, followers, and supporters of the athletics program; conference and institutional partners, including personnel affiliated with the Mountain West Conference, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, Western Athletic Conference, and West Coast Conference; and representatives of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and communicate with diverse internal and external constituencies, including student-athletes, athletics staff, media representatives, alumni, fans, supporters, conference and institutional partners, and NCAA personnel.
