Legal Programs is responsible for providing management support, assistance and advice, and policy guidance regarding legal process and procedures for the United States Attorneys in a variety of program areas, including: affirmative civil enforcement, appellate, asset forfeiture, bankruptcy, border and immigration, child exploitation, civil defensive litigation, civil rights, cybercrime, eDiscovery, financial litigation, health care fraud, human trafficking, narcotics, Native American issues, victim witness, violent crime, and white collar crime. Legal Programs assists in the articulation, development, and promulgation of policy which comports with the overall goals of the USAOs, EOUSA, and DOJ, and provides legal and management support, assistance and advice, and policy guidance to the USAOs across a variety of program areas, including: affirmative civil enforcement, asset forfeiture, border and immigration, civil defensive litigation, cybercrime, financial litigation, human trafficking, Native American issues, victim witness and more.
