Responsibilities will include performing basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks, and tasks related to maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and construction projects for buildings, equipment, furniture, and systems; tend to the preventive and general needs for maintenance of the District's structures, equipment, furnishings, and systems and for various assignments for repair and rehabilitation projects; repair and/or install windows, doors, partitions, coiling components, floor tiles, cove base, stair treads, wall coverings, and roofs; perform basic painting, refinishing, and associated work to buildings, furniture, and fixtures. Purpose: Danbury Public Schools is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform skilled maintenance tasks with a primary emphasis on general maintenance.
