li>Across the area units, GEO business operations include a wide variety of functions including but not limited to processing all expenditure transactions for payment to vendors (domestic and international), individual reimbursement to faculty, staff, and students across campus who receive funding from GEO and international guests; processing honoraria and contracted services payments, travel documentation and reimbursement; consulting with vendors (domestic and international) and processing payment for contracted services (domestic and international); initiating requisitions and processing final receiving of purchases via the SpartanMart system; processing unit-level budget transfers and flexes via the Banner System; reconciling P-cards through Chrome River; and applying a high level of discretion and independent judgement for each of the functions mentioned above. This includes day-to-day budgetary operations (processing, managing, and completing); forecasting unit budgetary needs; assisting the Associate Provost for GEO in operational budget decisions; managing GEO's budgetary workflow; serving as GEO's hiring manager and HR liaison; serving as unit budget authority; and providing guidance to the Associate Provost and GEO functional units (Study Abroad, International Student and Scholar Services, and International Recruitment) regarding budgetary and human resources processes and policy.
