Job Description:<ul><li> The Account Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the general accounting team.</li><li> This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective internal controls. </li><li> The AP Supervisor will also mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.</li></ul> Responsibilities:<ul><li> Lead and manage the general accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions.</li><li> Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.</li><li> Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.</li><li> Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.</li><li> Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and support.</li><li> Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.</li><li> Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.</li><li> Mentor and develop team members, providing training and performance feedback.</li><li> Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and initiatives.</li><li> Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li> 5+ years of experience in general accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.</li><li> Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.</li><li> Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.</li><li> Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li> Strong leadership and team management abilities.</li><li> Effective communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li> Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.</li><li> Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.</li><li> Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to adapt to changing business needs.</li></ul> Education: <ul><li> Prefer Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li> CPA or equivalent certification preferred.</li></ul> We offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
