Skills required: cardiac rhythm interpretation, high flow oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP delivery, chest tube management, drain management (hemovac, JP drains), ostomy care, wound vac management, dressing changes, peripheral IV starts, foley insertion/maintenance, and NG tube insertion/maintenance. Unit support includes CNAs, charge nurses, flex RNs, health unit coordinators, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, intensivists, rapid response/code teams, and wound care/ostomy teams.
