Provide direct patient care on a 14-bed Med/Surg unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing diagnoses including CHF, hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse aides (1 aide assigned when census reaches 9 patients) to maintain safe, effective patient care.
