The Assistant City Manager provides direct executive oversight of Community & Economic Development, Engineering, Operations, and Utilities, exercising considerable independent judgment and delegated authority to supervise department directors, resolve operational challenges, coordinate capital initiatives, and ensure responsible financial stewardship and high-quality service delivery. Provides portfolio-level oversight of the Capital Improvement Program across assigned departments, monitoring scope, schedules, budgets, delivery risks, and corrective actions without replacing project managers or technical directors.
