Operates and understands the Lab Info System to fully utilize it to obtain orders, complete tasks necessary for all functions of the Lab (creating batches, printing labels, collecting in specimens, ordering/canceling tests, looking up results, registering a patient account, etc.). Working knowledge of, but not limited to: HIS and LIS computer Systems and related equipment, 5-line telephone, Vacutainer System-syringes, butterfly needles, safety needles, finger-heelstick devices, autoclave and bar code printers preferred.
