Job DescriptionThe University of Miami's Cardiovascular Division, Department of Medicine is seeking an experienced and visionary Medical Director to lead the development and expansion of the Structural Heart Disease program within our esteemed UHealth System.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the comprehensive development of the Structural Heart Disease program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, education, and research initiatives.
li>HMO/Managed Care experience, including Utilization and/or Quality Program management and exposure to peer review, case management, population health, appeals, chronic and complex disease management, HEDIS reporting, and provider relations. In collaboration with the MPHC Chief Medical Officer (CMO), advocates with government/state regulatory entities, professional and medical society chapters, federal regulators/contactors, and as part of external communications and media relations to advance HP's clinical value story, evidence-based medical policies, and member health.
p>As a Senior Director and pediatric SME, the Pediatric Clinical Development Director Lead partners closely with the Global Development Leads, Clinical Development Scientist Lead, study clinicians, and Clinical Operations to translate field‑based pediatric insights into actionable execution strategies, risk mitigation plans, and continuous improvement of pediatric site engagement practices. Internal Medicine Clinical Development leadership (including Global Development Leads, Clinical Development Scientist Lead, and Study Clinicians); Clinical Trial Experience / Patient Engagement teams; Clinical Development Quality (CDQ); Clinical Pharmacology/Pharmacometrics; Program and Portfolio Operations Management (POPM).

This role is key to scaling the actual clinical use of AI-supported pathology, to meet the growing demand from laboratories for AI integration, and to scale the real-world deployment of AI biomarkers built together with Lunit's biopharma partners. This role will also help bridge the gap between biomarker discovery and real-world clinical adoption, enabling next-generation precision oncology approaches in partnership with leading biopharma companies.
