Sample duties include, but are not limited to: Proposes, recommends, implements programs and activities, including but not limited to arts, exercise programs, and special events; participates in and coordinates fundraising activities; promotes community awareness of programs; selects, schedules, and directs part-time staff and volunteers; recommends and coordinates the purchase of program supplies and equipment; monitors and supervises program participants; makes behavioral referrals when necessary; confers and collaborates with other social services providers as appropriate; collects and analyzes data and prepares reports for management staff; operates a motor vehicle in the performance of job duties; and performs related duties as required. In accordance with Public Resources Code Section 5164, the City of Redondo Beach shall not hire a person or permit a person to volunteer to perform services at a City operated park, playground, and/or recreation center in a position having supervisory or disciplinary authority over any minor if that person has been convicted of violating Section 220, 261.5, 262, 273a, 273d, 273.5 or 290 of the California Penal Code.
