The APT possesses knowledge of the pathology/clinical laboratories (Cytology, Cytogenetic, Hematopathology, Molecular, Histology, or Microbiology), performs routine and specialty procedures, recognizes problems, identifies basic causes, and makes corrections using established protocols.
