Full time 40 hours, Monday - Friday onsite in Holyoke, MAThe Business Office Manager is responsible for all outpatient billing and collection activities and supervision of billing and collections personnel. Responsible for achieving cash collection and AR goals set by the Director of Revenue. Works with other department heads to ensure compliance with all financial regulatory and other requirements.As the Business Office Manager you will:<ul><li>Continuously seek improvements in agency processes. Is able to set standards and expectations about Co-Payments and Deductible collections.</li><li>Manages census activities including daily, weekly, and monthly balancing with the nursing and admissions /intake departments.</li><li>Must be aware of policies, as needed to maintain the regulations of the Department of Mental Health and BSAS in the state of Massachusetts. Experience with Unit and Cost Reimbursement billing in Virtual Gateway</li><li>Ensures proper coding of transactions in SMART system to support Reimbursement to agency within grant guidelines.</li><li>Coordinates collection, formatting and timely (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) preparation / delivery of management information reports required for effective agency performance measurement, management and continuous improvement</li><li>Supports and participates in common teamwork.</li><li>Use tactful, appropriate communication in sensitive and emotional situations.</li><li>Interacts with patients, staff, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions/circumstances.</li><li>Understands and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>The Business Office Manager will have:<ul><li>A high school diploma or a college degree in business administration or a related field.</li><li>At least five years of experience in a relevant area, preferably within a healthcare setting, with a focus on substance abuse services.
