No prior experience is needed, as you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to safely perform a variety of tasks.  Responsibilities<ul><li>Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials, including soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction materials testing project sites; Execute tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers.</li><li>Testing Procedures: Conduct routine field and/or laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance.</li><li>Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspection; May assist with calculations, drafting, and other administrative duties as requested.</li><li>Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers; Communicate changing site conditions and additional requested testing to supervisor; Attend project meetings as requested; Assist with organization of field equipment and notify supervisor of broken or missing equipment as needed.</li><li>Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; Document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.</li></ul>Career DevelopmentAs your experience grows, ECS will:<ul><li>Support you in enhancing your professional skills.</li><li>Encourage participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities provided by organizations such as OSHA 10, ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, various State DOTs, WACEL, and others, as appropriate.</li></ul>

What We're Looking For:

ERM is hiring experienced consulting Construction Safety Oversight Specialists in the US. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing on-site observation of construction activities from an EHS perspective, ensuring health and safety compliance with applicable regulations and existing company standards and contributing to an environment where employee health and safety is preserved. You will be present during all site activities and responsible for all health and safety activities and the delegation of duties to any other project team members.RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>On-site observation of construction activities from an EHS perspective.</li><li>Documentation of activities with respect to required EHS performance.</li><li>Train on-site Client staff on EHS oversight program requirements.</li><li>Train on-site subcontractors on EHS oversight program requirements.</li><li>Help administer project directives given by the Client's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) personnel throughout the project.</li><li>Report on whether project staff and trade contractors are complying with the Client's safety procedures and are working in accordance with the approved project-specific safety plan.</li><li>Maintain required safety-related documentation on the project site including, but not limited to, safety orientation training, Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), SDSs, pre-task assessments, and toolbox talk summaries.</li><li>Participate in daily pre-shift coordination meetings to include review of the day's activities and associated hazards.</li><li>Review and comment on the General Contractor's JHAs with project trades and obtain signatures prior to commencement of work.</li><li>Conduct daily site inspections, focusing on work site orderliness and compliance with safety procedures and protocols.
