Summary: A MRI Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of duties involving MR patient imaging, scanner instrumentation and contrast agent preparation, according to guidelines set forth by NYSDOH, JCAHO, OSHA, and the SOCH Hospital Imaging Services Department. Must maintain this primary registration at all times as a Professional Education Requirement to perform MRI and to be eligible for certification/registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, (MR) (ARRT), unless candidate is a graduate from a formal accredited/approved school/program of MRI.
