Infant & Preschool Center DirectorINTRODUCTION:The Center Director is accountable for the overall business, administration, and objectives of our center. The responsibilities are thus managerial in nature and do not include regular in-classroom stints. The successful candidate will have experience and an education in Early Childhood Education and Care as well as a general business/fiscal background.ABOUT US:ScuttleBugs CDC is a high caliber child development center, educating and caring for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Our motto speaks volumes about who we are and what we do: “Providing for your children, what we expect for ours!”.We purchased an existing Daycare and Preschool in Boulder 2.5 years ago. We have been operating our flagship center in Silicon Valley, CA for over 10 successful years.We have been working diligently to elevate the center (management, our team, operations, and the physical environment) to a higher caliber across the board, and morphing closer towards “The ScuttleBugs Way”. We are a premium full-service program which provides children with all the daily necessities including 5 x nutritious snacks and meals, infant formula or milk, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, and nap time linens. Our programs are Reggio inspired and our proprietary curriculum incorporates the best of Emergent, Play Based, and Early Academic curricula.At ScuttleBugs, we have a very motivated group of teachers who we support in identifying and attaining their short and long-term goals. ScuttleBugs CDC is an equal opportunity employer that embraces and celebrates diversity in its team members, children, and families.ABOUT THE POSITION:We are currently seeking to fill a full-time exempt salaried Center Director position with the opportunity to grow with us as we expand and open more centers.The CD is accountable for the overall business and administrative operations of our center, ensuring the success and growth of our company. Therefore, they are required to have substantial experience and a sound knowledge of the business and financial aspects of the role.With the assistance of the Program Manager, the CD reports to the Director of Center Development. The CD is expected to train, mentor, and oversee the Program Manager to confidently succeed in their role. Additionally, they are to identify and institute development paths for other staff members to up-skill for future in-house management/administrative positions.ABOUT YOU:You are a seasoned professional with both tertiary level qualifications and a minimum of 5-10 years experience in the ECE field (5+ in management/administration). You are confident and knowledgeable of all operational and business aspects of running a center.Alternatively, you may be relatively new to childcare, but have solid business credentials and experience that you can apply to a childcare business while you acquire the specifics of running a childcare center.You are personable/approachable with a positive, “can do” customer-focused attitude, and able to form strong relationships with parents/family members, the children, and the staff alike.
