Responsibilities: Understand student learning and development and respect the diversity of the students Know and understand the content area Understand and use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate, and ensure student learning Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student Create learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators and the community to support student learning Assume responsibility for professional growth , performance and involvement as an individual and as a member of a learning community Ensure the safety of students Effectively manage the classroom Effectively manage and operate district technology Perform other duties as assigned by Administration Qualifications Hold a bachelor's degree in education with appropriate subject area from an accredited college/university Complete a state-approved teacher preparation program Hold a valid and appropriate State of Ohio certification/license for the job posting If the posting is a third grade position, the applicant must meet the Third Grade Reading Guarantee Teacher Qualification Requirements Undergo or have a current state and federal criminal background check.
