Broad knowledge of local flora and fauna of Ohio such as ornithology, entomology, ecology, herpetology, botany and conservationExperience presenting with wildlife such as reptiles, amphibians, mammals and birds is desiredExperience with kayaking, stand-up paddleboard or archery is desiredKnowledge of local historical resourcesAbility to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors, around bodies of water, and in varying weather conditions including extreme heat or coldMust be able to walk, hike, climb to various park sites and in and around of bodies of water, and be able to handle infrequent loads in excess of 50 lbs. Plan small formal programs as well as large special eventsAfter training, utilize our animal ambassadors from the Wildlife Conservation Center in programmingSuccessfully complete administrative tasks such as writing program descriptions and outlines, and evaluation of programs, prepare and track purchase order requests and acquire needed materials for programs.
