Requirements Minimum Qualifications/Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer 3+ years' experience in technical communication, which includes but is not limited to technical writing, software specification writing, instructional design, technical editing, copyediting or proofreading, quality assurance, and user experience design Ability to translate jargon into plain English, in a concise manner, for non-technical end-users Ability to logically categorize new information into existing taxonomies and consider how new information impacts existing information Familiar with the documentation lifecycle and corresponding quality assurance reviews Experience with gathering feedback and measuring success in documentation efforts (e.g., usage analytics, real-time critical feedback, gathering business feedback, etc.) Experience developing and maintaining information architectures for technical documentation, including Knowledge Management or CMS systems Proficiency in MS Office products. Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree AND 3+ years' experience working with developers, testers, analysts, and other subject matter experts (SME) to create, assimilate, develop, and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner for the application documentation support activities Required Certifications: PMP, CSM, ITIL, and/or SAFe (Certification would be a plus) Other: Must be US Citizen Willingness to be on-site in New Carrollton (Lanham), Maryland Willingness to travel and/or telecommute on occasion depending on customer needs .
