Stuarts Draft Retirement Community is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Activities Coordinator to plan and implement engaging programs for our residents. This role will oversee activities at both Stuarts Draft Retirement Community (SDRC) and The Village at Mint Spring, ensuring a vibrant and fulfilling social experience for our senior community. Compensation:$17.25 - $18.25 hourlyResponsibilities:<ul><li>Plan and organize activities, events, and social programs for residents in both communities.</li><li>Maintain and enhance the well-established activities calendar at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community</li><li>Develop and launch a brand-new activities calendar at The Village at Mint Spring, utilizing Stuarts Draft Retirement Community resources, new ideas, and resident feedback.</li><li>Coordinate schedules between the two communities to optimize participation and staff.</li><li>Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with activities.</li><li>Effectively communicate events and schedules to residents, families, and staff using newsletters, calendars, bulletin boards, and digital updates.</li><li>Foster a sense of community by encouraging resident involvement and engagement.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience in event planning, recreation, senior activities, or a related field.</li><li>Strong organizational and leadership skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to ensure residents, families, and staff are informed and engaged.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively.</li><li>Passion for enhancing the lives of senior residents through meaningful activities.</li></ul>About Company Stuarts Draft Retirement Community is on a mission to become the Shenandoah Valley's choice senior living community for both our staff and our residents! The clinic is located only minutes away from the Virginia Tech campus and boasts a beautiful office, experienced staff, and an office-based endoscopy unit. Position Highlights <ul><li>Will join 2 other gastroenterologists in the office in addition to 3 physician assistants and 2 nurse practitioners, who mainly cover the inpatient unit.</li><li>The need is for a general gastroenterologist, though subspecialty interests can be accommodated.</li><li>The incoming physician could expect scoping 4 days a week along with .5 to 1 day of clinic. Since nurse practitioners cover the inpatient floor, inpatient work is minimal.</li><li>Call rotation will be a non-burdensome 1:4. The practice only covers a 100+ bed Level III Trauma Center.</li><li>Immediate volume is available for experienced physicians and mentorship is available for physicians just finishing their fellowship.</li><li>A faculty appointment is available along with the opportunity to teach fellows, for those that are interested.</li></ul> Area Highlights: Blacksburg, VA, is a picturesque town nestled in the New River Valley.
