Duties Description Under the supervision of the Regional Park Maintenance Supervisor, SG-18 or designee, the Service and Repair Mechanic (Motor Equipment), SG-12 will be assigned to Regional Maintenance within Allegany State Park and will perform journey-level mechanical work in the diagnosis, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of light, medium, and heavy duty motor vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment and other forms of specialized motor equipment. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Performs tasks in the repair, maintenance, and servicing of automotive and mechanical equipment such as service and adjustment of brakes, replacement of wheel bearings, and the removal and replacement of such components as starters, fuel pumps, water pumps, gas tanks, exhaust system components, shock absorbers, springs, and radiators.
