What You'll Do * Install, program, test, and fix fire alarm systems, panels, and devices * Check systems on a regular schedule to make sure everything works * Find and fix problems when a system isn't working right * Write down what you find, what you fixed, and when you did it * Read building plans, wiring diagrams, and spec sheets * Work with project managers, inspectors, and customers as needed * Follow all fire and electrical codes — local, state, and national * Keep your tools, test equipment, and work vehicle in good shape * Answer basic questions and show customers how their system works * Follow all safety rules and OSHA requirements on every job What You Need * High school diploma or GED * Experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems * Knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and local fire codes * Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings * Good at finding and fixing problems * Valid driver's license with a clean record * Ability to pass a background check Nice to Have * NICET Fire Alarm certification (any level) * State or local fire alarm license * Experience with brands like Honeywell, Siemens, Notifier, Simplex, or Edwards * Low-voltage electrical experience * Good people skills and comfort talking with customers Why Work Here * We were just named one of Inc.
