This position is responsible for participating in the daily production and serving of food for patients, staff, and visitors in the floor bistros and/or main cafeteria including serving meals from a cafeteria-style line, operating a cash register, preparing food items on a griddle and/or fryer, preparing and assembling ingredients for hot and cold food items, setting up/restocking serving areas, cleaning assigned areas, assembling and delivering nourishments, helping wash dishes and/or potsand pans. Prepare, measure, and assemble ingredients for cold food items including washing, peeling, and cutting fruit; washing and preparing lettuce and tomatoes for deli sandwiches; slicing meat and cheese; and any other items needed for salad bar, deli, or Grab ‘N Go items.
