This includes layout, measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing forms for foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and other concrete structures, in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform general construction labor to include jobsite clean-up and moving of materials by hand.</li><li>Operating motorized equipment including power tools, saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.</li><li>Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.</li><li>Assist in pouring of vertical concrete.</li><li>Install reshores per instructions.</li><li>Ability to quickly learn and assist in; vertical installations and removal, framing and decking operations, pouring of vertical concrete, distinguishing between different types of material and equipment.</li><li>Read a tape measure.</li><li>Working during inclement weather, could be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations depending upon project site.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.</li><li>Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.</li><li>Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts</li><li>Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 12 months of formwork / concrete construction work experience as a Carpenter at meets or exceeds performance expectations</li><li>Preference of 30 Hour OSHA Card desired.</li></ul>What We Can Offer You:<ul><li>Inclusive Medical, Dental, Vision, Accident, and Illness insurance</li><li>Company paid AD&D and Life insurance</li><li>Health Savings Account contribution of up to $1,000 per year</li><li>401(k) retirement savings program with a company match</li><li>Employee Assistance Program including discounts with major vendors & products</li><li>Mental and physical wellness programs</li><li>Career advancement opportunities with a stable well-established organization. </li></ul>*Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. This is not an office or engineering role; this is a hands-on superintendent position overseeing multiple active sites in the field. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple residential projects (single-family, townhomes, small multifamily).</li><li>Manage sequencing across all trades: site work, framing, MEP, exterior, interior finishes, and closeout.</li><li>Coordinate and pass City of Houston inspections; ensure all work meets code and New Gen standards.</li><li>Read and interpret plans, details, and specs; clarify scope with the Construction Project Manager as needed.</li><li>Run schedules: create and update look-ahead plans, push work forward, and remove roadblocks for trades.</li><li>Maintain clean, safe, well-organized jobsites that reflect well on the company.</li><li>Communicate daily with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal team members.</li><li>Solve onsite issues quickly and creatively while protecting quality and budget.</li><li>Track progress and document: photos, notes, punch lists, and status updates.</li><li>Represent New Gen Builders professionally with neighbors, clients, investors, and city officials.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>5 or more years of hands-on experience in residential construction (superintendent, foreman, or similar).</li><li>Strong understanding of ground-up residential sequencing and best practices.</li><li>Proven experience managing multiple projects at once, not just a single site.</li><li>Ability to read plans and run quality control in the field.</li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred (many trades speak Spanish).</li><li>Highly organized, reliable, and decisive; able to drive projects forward independently.</li><li>Must be on-site in Houston; this is not a remote role.</li><li>Experience with City of Houston inspections is a plus.</li><li>Experience with JobTread or similar project platforms is a plus. </li></ul>Compensation & Benefits<ul><li>Full-time, W-2 Employee.</li><li>Base Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 annually, based on experience</li><li>Performance Bonus: Approximately $2,000 to $5,000 per project completed on time and within budget</li><li>Expected Volume: 10-15 projects per year</li><li>Total Annual Potential Compensation: $70,000+ based on performance</li><li>Direct impact in a fast-growing company scaling from ~17 projects/year to 30+</li><li>Close collaboration with the owner and leadership team</li><li>Clear path to grow your role and compensation as the company expands </li></ul>Why This Role MattersAs Site Superintendent, you are the heartbeat of project delivery.
