Unit Details: 23 beds, patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3, with patients experiencing respiratory failure, ARDS, CHF, COPD, post-STEMI, post-arrest, post-surgical, CABG, carotid, DKA, GI bleed, overdose, ETOH withdrawal, CVA, renal failure; no trauma or hemorrhagic strokes. Additional Responsibilities: Draw labs, perform EKGs, titrate medications such as pressors, sedation, paralytics, insulin, and heparin, and float to other units if needed.
