Comprehensively assess patient status related to planned surgery, including physical parameters, lab values, medications, and learning needs; coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and other providers to resolve patient issues and prevent avoidable cancellations. Manage care of patients during anesthesia recovery, including pain control, moderate sedation, medication administration, and routine and emergency airway management.
