As the EOIR Attorney, you will report to the Sr. Associate Attorney, you will also manage your caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our wonderful Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. This is a Hybrid position requiring in-person court appearances Responsibilities<ul><li>Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions</li><li>Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals</li><li>Manage workload of cases</li><li>Visit and conduct an intake with detained individuals at centers.</li><li>Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions</li><li>Review immigration applications/packets and make any necessary adjustments</li><li>Present to and work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law</li><li>Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategy</li><li>Develop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony</li><li>Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits</li><li>Prepare and submitting legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>1-5 years of Immigration Law Experience</li><li>A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with your fellow associates</li><li>Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish)</li><li>Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber</li><li>Record of moving legal cases forward and an ability to manage a caseload</li><li>Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications</li><li>Experience with Case Management Software is preferred</li></ul>Do you have a passion for Immigration Law and a desire to practice within an organization with lots of room for growth? Conducts legal research, analyzes and compiles data from multiple sources such as on-line references, digests, practice manuals or other sources. Researches statutes, regulations and court decisions. Prepares summaries of digests and recommendation resolution to legal questions. Prepares internal memos to team members and internal clients. 3. Drafts contracts, patent applications, resolutions and other legal documents for attorney review. 4. Drafts moderately complex depositions outlines/questions, motions, pleadings, subpoenas, orders and briefs for attorney review. 5. Analyzes and evaluates records and data for discovery. Drafts recommendations and correspondence to clients, claims attorneys, and customer with regard to discovery and legal matters. 6. Develops and maintains internal information data bases. 7. Conducts and evaluates open and closed paralegal file audits and informs attorneys and management of the audit results; makes appropriate recommendations for improvement. 8. Knows and applies the fundamental concept, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. Maintains currency in both business unit and legal professional competencies. 9. May support litigation via the collection of information for interrogatories and response to requests for documentation. 10.
