In addition to the qualifications above, experience must include working with the Federal Meat, Poultry, and Egg Products Inspection Acts in order to inspect meat, poultry and egg products; working with basic SSOP and HACCP principles and practices in order to verify plant HACCP and SSOP responsibilities; performing basic mathematics and elementary statistical concepts and methods to perform testing and sampling procedures; and experience in reaching and interpreting conclusions. Quality Inspector performs various receiving inspections, in-process inspections, verification of completed paperwork, identifying non-conformance issues, final product inspection and checking dimensions of production detail parts and assemblies using hand tools such as calipers, scales, micrometers, and height gauge as well as operating CMM. Inspectors should be proficient in blueprint reading as well as specification interpretation and be able to apply these skills to perform first article inspection using in-house programs such as DISCUS and Net Inspect.

Role accountabilities: The candidate in this role will be responsible for observing and inspecting construction work completed by contractors, conducting punch list inspections, using field tools provided to document inspections, reviewing technical documents such as drawings and specifications, and preparing detailed daily activity and progress reports.
